The Engro Clinic & Occupational Health Center is a dedicated healthcare facility designed to serve the dual purpose of supporting the occupational health needs of employees and providing comprehensive medical care to their families residing in the colony.
Major Responsibilities for the Role of Deputy Manager Medical (Male)
- Reports to Chief Medical Advisor.
- Supporting Chief Medical Advisor in planning and management of clinic.
- Formulate yearly objectives by reviewing with CMA and stewarding it periodically.
- To provide medical care to employees, and their families in accordance with the medical policy laid down by HR, thus catering for the diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive aspect of diseases & handling of emergencies. Furthermore, the scope extends to providing medical consultation to PR/GR/ER cases for enhancing the company’s image.
- Training paramedics on different medical topics and skills to improve their patient handling.
- Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), Occupational Health Industrial Hygiene (OHIH), and Environmental Management System (EMS) elements during off & on the job-related activities.
- To support implementing Occupational health program of the Company in its true spirit so that not only disease control is achieved but also ensure healthy workforce for efficient performance of tasks, increasing productivity and maintaining focus on preventive, occupational, therapeutic, and diagnostic aspects of comprehensive health care.
- Prioritizing Safety at all levels of work in clinic.
- Continuous surveillance of chronic diseases among employees. Health promotion through all available means and platforms.
- Manage occupational & nonoccupational injuries & illness and carries out disability evaluations.
- On the job formal and informal training of all paramedics to maintain a competent medical team. This includes training clinic staff in emergency response and OHIH related activities.
- Coordinates occupational health surveillance activities including various medical examinations.
- Motivation of workforce and families, creating occupational and preventive health awareness.
- First-aid and basic life support training of emergency squad members.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Coordination with HSE, Administration and other departments for patient related issues.
- Liaison with The Pharmacy for timely availability of medicines & other medical supplies.
- Community awareness through bulletins / sessions / e-mail.
- Liaison with medical insurance company, specialists/consultants, hospitals, and laboratories outside Engro.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBBS with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification clinical experience, preferably in Family Medicine, Cardiology, and ENT. Must possess strong hands-on experience in the assessment, stabilization, and management of common medical and surgical emergencies encountered in primary care and family practice settings.
- Additional postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ENT or other relevant specialties will be considered a distinct advantage.
