Regional Sales Manager (South)
Job Summary :
To achieve efficient operation of all sales and market development activities of Specialty Fertilizers Product through effective planning, strategizing, timely decision making, providing guidance, supervision and motivation to his entire team.
Co-ordinates and supervise all the activities for achieving Company objectives related to HSE, Sales, Market development Planning, Administration, Cost controls and Profit maximization in the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities :
- Incumbent is responsible for ensuring operations as per HSE (Health Safety and Environment) policy and guidelines in his area. This includes his own day to day operations as well as all those reporting to him. Incumbent is responsible for maximizing profitability of the Area for all products by maximizing sales and margins and controlling costs.
- Plan, organize and direct his team to achieve Area’s sales targets and other objectives in an ethical manner. In doing so, the incumbent continuously makes assessment of market situation, competitive strengths and weaknesses affecting fertilizer sales and agriculture.
- The incumbent is directly responsible for the sale of Specialty Fertilizers Products as per approved CP in his Region. He will also monitor and steward market shares for Zabardast Urea in the Region. This also involves supervising TSOs reporting into him and managing and improving dealer network in that Territory
- Incumbent is also responsible for developing Outlooks for his Region based on the Urea Demand and Supply
- Strategies to effectively meet competition to maximize sales and profits
- Improve & maintain market shares
- Advertising and Sales promotion in the Areas by focusing BTL Activities
- Responsible for Governmental contacts relating to fertilizer marketing and agriculture, the incumbent has the responsibility to represent the company at the Zonal level.
- The incumbent is responsible for the development of Area Marketing Plans / Capital and Expense budgets and their appropriations after approval in the assigned region.
- The incumbent is responsible for the training, development, motivation and career planning for his entire team. He has the lead in establishing standards of ethical performance for his organization and ensuring that work safety performance standards are maintained at the highest levels.
- Coordinate for farmer contacts as per agreed plan and ensure the addition of the same in the Database portal
- Ensure consumption of product as per agreed conversion and retention plans
Education : University Degree in Agriculture / Business (Masters preferred)
Experience : At least 06 years with 02 years in a Supervisory role. Experience in the field of Agri-business e.g Fertilizers, Pesticides, Seeds will be preferred
