  1. Acts as a Security advisor for ECORP who ensures advising the senior management for ensuring security and smooth continuity of Engro’s business  

  1. To support and assist all ECORP Subsidiaries about security related issues and to remain in liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders dealing with security 

  1. To maintain close liaison with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and Intelligence agencies 

  1. To evaluate security risk assessments of all major facilities as well as projects 

  1. Acts as Secretary to the ECORP Security Committee 

  1. Any other work related task as delegated by line manager

Description 

       Performance Indicators 

  • Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures, supervising the security guard force. 

  • Co-ordination, management, supervise and advice to Senior Management on effective security management systems and solutions, within the business scope.  

  • Ensure that threats to personnel, assets, and business operations/activities within the site/country are properly identified, evaluated, and mitigated in a timely and cost-effective manner.  

  • Secure Engro personnel, properties, and assets from internal and external security breaches as well as co-ordinate the activities of 3rd Party Security Contractors and Internal Engro Security personnel and Supervisors.  

  • Ensure a hands-on ownership of security solutions within Engro and its subsidiary operations across the country.  

  • Manage an effective Country Control Room that is geared for both monitoring as well as Incident response.  

  • Support the Subsidiary Admin and Security Manager in solutions and various initiatives 

  • Security Risk and threat Assessments of major Engro sites- Oversight of security audits & review of all facilities 

  • Developing of security protocols for all Engro affiliate’s - Ensuring proper security standards and SOPs are being adopted in line with best industry practices  

  • Updating & Review of Security Documentation with Crisis Management Plan (CMP) - All Affiliates 

  • Development of security manuals of  Level I & II (Site Specific) – All Affiliate’s / Head Office 

  • Conducting  of Security Scenario Based Exercises/Mock up Drills in line with Level II document 

  • Works with security heads at plant site(s) to ensure security issues are effectively dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. 

  • Conducting internal security audit of all major premises on yearly basis. 

  • Liaison with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and Intelligence agencies 

  • Conducting Security Awareness Sessions - All Affiliates  

  • Overseeing & arranging  security requirements of the Executive, Expatriates travel  & advising on Event Security - Engro Affiliates        

  • Risk Assessment /threat analysis and due diligence of NV project sites 

  • Supporting all affiliates in Standardization/ Performance review/monitoring/Selection of 3rd Party Security Service

  • ECTD & HSE (HO Evac Plan & CCTV Control Room) 

  • Corp Communication (Initiation of Security Advisories and assisting in events etc) 

  • ECORP HR and HRs of other Subsidiaries (Vetting/revision of Security policy, SOPs, guidelines and other Security Protocol Documents etc) 

  • Legal & Finance (3rd party security service providers management etc)

  • LEAs (Army, Navy, Civil Armed Forces e.g. Rangers, CPEC Army Division, Pakistan Marines)

  1. Key Challenges

  1. Convincing for implementation of Level-1 and 2 Documents to all POCs as there’s no direct or dotting reporting. 

  1. No direct Interference in Security affairs of the other subsidiaries’ internal management issues.  

  1. No sharing of security incident reports at facilities with Corp Security  

  1. Weak Communication Link between ECORP Security & POCs 

  1. Slow and weak response on update & implementation of the Corp’s field/physical security audits carried 

  1. Consistent Liaison with LEAs at times become difficult due to frequent changes in their structure
