  1. Job Purpose         

Work with ICT Leadership on the SAP Strategic roadmap, environment strategy, investment, project execution, vendor management, solution architecture and successful launch of new solutions and related applications.

Assist all SAP projects and applications leaders, related to Finance & HR Domain, with SAP architecture, enhancement, maintenance, support, and SAP functional and technical implementation expertise.

Provide technological and strategic support in the development of both internal and external SAP software projects related to Finance & HR.

Facilitate Finance & HR functions across Engro Group and provides end-to-end SAP solutions to internal stakeholders.

Analyze business processes and work closely with the Solution Leader(s), Process/System analysts, as well as business and/or process experts to develop, document and deliver end-to-end SAP process and systems solutions for SAP Finance and HR  aligned with ICT strategy.

Description

Performance Indicators

  • Facilitate discussions to understand ICT requirements including business workflows, functional and technical specifications related to Finance and HR
  • Guide subordinates for analysis of business requirements and current business processes using applicable modelling and analysis tools, methods, and standards
  • Review, validate, and rationalize requirement analysis done by team
  • Instruct subordinates for business case preparation of proposed solutions
  • Consult on technically complex requirements with ICT team and discuss associated costs and timelines.
  • Explore in-house capacity for various solutions and conduct benchmarking exercise for identification of solutions from external parties
  • Develop detailed project plans and related documents in coordination with ICT team
  • Seek approval of detailed project plans and related documents from Supervisor and monitor and track solution development project life cycle against planned activities
  • Develops and shares progress report with relevant departments
  • Oversee SAP projects related to Finance and HR and ensure compliance with project management practices
  • Finalize project scope of work and associated timelines
  • Finalize detailed application development project plan, charter, and associated project documents
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of SAP projects related to Finance and HR
  • Review and approve change request form raised by user for Finance and HR
  • Monitor the team on problem resolution after issuance of ticket from the user, recommend corrective actions for resolution of pending matters and get escalated matters resolved.
  • Maintain portfolio of all SAP modules, interfaces, and 3rd party integration applications related to Finance and HR
  • Develop short and long-term roadmap for business solutions as it relates to SAP and SAP application integrations related to Finance and HR
  • Facilitate Business process improvement efforts as it relates to SAP best practices for Finance and HR
  • Work with Finance and HR business units in the analysis and selection of any SAP module or related application
  • Advise senior management on all SAP-related issues including opportunities to drive greater value realization of SAP technology and software
  • Develop and maintain an SAP training program for Finance and HR
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with both technical and non-technical audiences. Ensure transparency and well-planned communication.
  • Lead members of the SAP Finance and HR team to implement and support sustainable solutions in the SAP environment. Provide mentorship, coaching and guidance
  • Manage SAP-related contractual agreements and relationships to assure full value from a delivery and cost perspective. Ensure effective relationships amongst vendor staff with business end users and other service providers.
  • Ensure constant improvement of operations processes. Creates and maintains focus on measurement and constant improvement of all core support processes. Identifies and leads initiatives to drive cost out of operation.
  • Stay informed and actively involved in the new solutions in SAP and IT related applications and help other SAP team members to stay up to date in the new applications and solutions.
  • Monitor work products of team members to ensure standard processes are followed when creating and maintaining solutions documentation for projects, enhancements, and support requests.
  • Support project implementation transition to the support organization through documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • As needed, provide technical leadership in support of audit requests.
  • Provide effective and inspiring leadership and ensure parity among subordinates with regards to learning and growth opportunities
  • Build a conducive environment for engaged and committed team and promote a sense of purpose and self-fulfilment among subordinates
  • Create the need for empathy when necessary, lead by example, motivate, and maintain a competent and high performing team capable to meet current and future needs
  • Manage performance of direct reports through objective setting, continuous support, feedback, and formal appraisal
  • Identify training and development requirements of subordinates for current and future roles
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards.
  • Resolution of Incidents/service requests as per internal SLA’s
  • Completion of Change Requests as per agreed timelines with process/data owners
  • Completion of Project Deliverables as per agreed project timelines/milestones

  • More than 12+ years of experience with SAP functionality in multiple Modules
  • Experience in an IT management role leading teams, project management and integrating systems with SAP systems
  • Proven experience in implementing and supporting SAP environment
  • Experience working in projects with design and development teams
  • Ability to work with multiple SAP environments
  • Experience working with a very formal change control process
  • Required undergraduate university degree, preferably in commerce, engineering, information technologies or equivalent training and job experience.
  • Master’s degree, preferably in commerce, engineering, information technologies or MBA an asset
  • Certifications in SAP Finance modules are preferred
