Logistics Officer
Job Purpose
To support day-to-day logistics operations by ensuring timely shipment execution, effective coordination with transporters and internal stakeholders, and efficient monitoring of dispatch activities while maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily logistics operations to ensure smooth and timely dispatch of shipments.
- Coordinate with trucking contractors to ensure vehicle availability as per shipment requirements.
- Liaise with internal departments including Production, PM&S, Finance, and Sales for seamless operational coordination.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders including contractors and Pakistan Railways for shipment execution.
- Monitor order and shipment status, follow up on pending deliveries, and support efforts to reduce production dumping.
- Ensure timely handling and resolution of Rahber complaints and field team queries.
- Prepare and maintain daily shipment tracking and operational reports.
- Monitor contractor performance and maintain effective working relationships to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in HSE initiatives including safety meetings, incident follow-ups, and enforcement of trucker safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- 3 - 4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related operations preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
