Treasury Officer-Sales Collection

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to assess and execute daily sales collection associated treasury operations in accordance with best standards while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Under the ambit of sales collections, this position will also support business partners on operational management and monitoring of financial period closing to ensure service excellence to internal stakeholders. Entities covered under the scope of this role may vary from one treasury officer to another and may include Engro Polymer and Engro Fertilizers.

Key Accountabilities & Performance Indicators 1/4

Description	Performance Indicators
Collection via Bank Guarantee - Approvals and verifications in 1SAP - BG claims follow up, file maintenance and fund settlement - BG discounting and follow up for assignments - Recording of BG related transactions (BGs’ CR) - BG withdrawal and clearance	If received within first half, then it should be approved on the same day. Otherwise, BG should be approved by next working day, first half Update from accounting team should be routed to the bank on the same day. Coordination with the bank to arrange swift Daily execution of entries in the system for funds received. Submission of letter to bank/ email for withdrawal or clearance

Collection via DCF - Dealer credit finance (DCF) verifications and approvals in 1SAP -DCF dealer’s maintenance in banks and insurance companies - Recording of DCF related transactions (DCFs’ CR)	Verifications and approvals of DCF’s received from the bank should be done on the same day. This exercise is carried out on bi-annual basis. Once data is received from commercial team, it should be updated with banks and insurance companies’ within 3 working days. Daily execution of entries in the system for funds received
Collection through DD/ PO -Arrangement and coordination with collection partner bank for instrument pick up from regional offices and warehouses	Insure DD funds realization maximum within 30 days of SAP entry. Otherwise, make reversal from Sales accounting group (SAG) before month end closing. Independent verification for DD amounting to PKR 10M and above

Collection through non-negotiable instrument	Dealer’s addition in collection partner’s bank as and when required. Coordination with partner bank for non-negotiable instrument/ SGS arrangement in branches or sales offices Coordination for dispute resolution with banks or sales team Fund confirmation, coordination with banks for smooth working of FTP server and real time alerts
Collection through online medium	Uploading of MIS in SAP on daily basis Clearing of SAP entries with bank statements Fund confirmation to commercial team Coordination with banks for account generation of dealers for virtual accounts

Reporting and Closing

Accruals for bank charges of partner banks
Reporting of unreconciled entries on fortnightly basis to commercial and accounting teams
Processing reversals through SAG for outstanding entries (>30 days)
Monthly collection and reporting as per collection modes to internal heads.
Clearing of SAP entries via MT940 uploading in SAP
