Senior Operations Engineer
UTY/PP Day Engineer.
Job Purpose:
Responsible to provide assistance to General Manager Operations and Manager UTY/CCPP Operations for routine and Emergency operation of the unit. Provide assistance for implementation and maintenance of the company Health Safety Environment & OHIH, Quality, ethics, and Training policies at UTY/CCPP Unit. To be accountable for a safe, economical, and trouble-free operation of the UTY/CCPP plant. To help Unit Manager of production plant in achieving safety, OHIH, Environmental, production, conversion ratios and cost targets. Responsible for personnel management and people development at the Unit.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Day Engineer is responsible for safe and trouble-free operation of the UTY/CCPP plants. Supervision of Operations engineers and Assistant Engineers in UTY/CCPP. He is supporting the manager for developing short- and long-term operational plans, coaching and training of sub-ordinates.
- Day Engineer is providing support to Manager as Quality Coordinator of his own area. He is responsible to support in developing and implementing all quality management activities of the Unit depending upon the scope of activities, as directed by G.M Operations and / or Quality Management Representative. This includes implementing Quality Plans, Document control, Process & quality control, necessary inspections, measuring equipment control, audits, preventive, and corrective actions by analyzing root causes and eliminating them, maintaining records, training of personnel in his unit.
- Responsible to maintain PSM , Environment, Quality, budget control and Business ethics policies of the organization by auditing and guiding operational personnel from time to time.
- Provides day to day technical support to shift staff for safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the plant and maintaining product quality within defined specifications. Provides guidance in emergency situations and assists in taking corrective actions.
- Ensures provision of services required for efficient, economic, and safe operation of UTY/CCPP plants by Coordinating with support functions, to achieve corporate objectives. Coordinate’s shutdown and daily planning meeting to get desired results.
- Initiates and stewards the development of capacity and efficiency enhancement projects to maximize profitability and reduce cost by coordination with Technical Department.
- Optimize and manage manpower allocation and material consumption by reviewing operating practices and stewarding expense reports to minimize operating costs.
- Maintains motivated employees by setting challenging goals and formulating personnel development plans to develop high caliber and productive manpower resources.
- Act according to emergency response role statement in case of level-1/-2 emergencies and ensure safe handling of plant, personnel and community.
- Ensures implementation, review, updates, approval and distribution of Operating procedures and manuals as per PSM guidelines.
Experience requirements:
B.E Chemical with 6~10 Years of relevant experience in UTY/PP.
