Job Title: Manager COE

 

Location: EPCL Head Office – Karachi

 

  1. Job Purpose            

To lead the integrated HR strategy across the Talent, Capability, and Employee Experience pillars. This role governs the frameworks for leadership pipelines, functional skill development, and organizational health, ensuring people processes are standardized and aligned with long-term business objectives.

  1. Integrated Talent & Succession Strategy: Lead the annual Talent Review Sessions (TRS). Oversee the execution of succession planning strategies to ensure leadership continuity and a robust pipeline for critical business roles.
  • Achieve ≥80% retention of identified high-potential employees.
  • Maintain offer acceptance ratio above 85% for critical roles.
  • Maintain regretted attrition of critical talent below 15% annually.
  • Succession depth for 100% of critical roles
  • ≥ 80% compliance with TRS action plans
  1. Performance Management Governance: Drive the end-to-end PMGM cycle. Manage calibration sessions, development forums, and feedback mechanisms to maintain performance standards and ensure individual goals align with business objectives.

• 100% PMGM cycle completion on schedule

 

• Bell Curve alignment within ±5% of target

 

• Quality and accuracy of performance appraisals

  1. Talent Review & Leadership Development: Identify and nurture high-potential employees through structured development programs. Ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of talent data used for leadership selection.

• Internal promotion rate for M-level roles ≥ 30%

 

• Readiness improvement of successors year-on-year

 

• 100% of talent cohorts assigned development interventions

  1. Capability & Employee Development: Design and implement development initiatives, including competency mapping and career development plans. Evaluate program effectiveness to ensure skills are enhanced across HO and Plant sites.

• Training Effectiveness Score ≥ 85%

 

• ≥ 90% adherence to annual training plan

 

• ≥ 90% adherence to training man hours targets defined by leadership

• Internal fulfillment of operational skill requirements

  1. Employee Experience & Feedback Governance: Lead the annual Engro engagement survey, Pulse surveys and third-party partnerships for employee experience, and follow-up focus groups. Translate qualitative sentiment data into high-impact action plans to drive organizational health

• Improvement in O-Health / Experience scores

• 100% completion of focus groups

• Survey participation rate ≥ 85%

Timely closure of campaigns pre and post surveys

  1. Strategic People Analytics & Reporting: Leverage HR analytics to track talent metrics, including performance outcomes and succession effectiveness. Provide data-driven insights to the CEO and MC to address skill gaps.

100% accuracy in quarterly HR analytics reports

 

• Timely delivery of workforce insights for MC

  1. Framework Standardization & Governance: Ensure the standardization of talent, learning, and experience frameworks across all Divisions. Drive best practices and consistency in how HR frameworks are deployed across functions.

• 0 deviations from standardized COE frameworks

• Successful audit of Talent/L&D processes

• Internal stakeholder satisfaction with COE support

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters in HR/Business Administration/Org. Psychology.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience leading integrated HR strategy across talent, capability development, and employee experience .
