Maintenance Engineer
Job Purpose:
Maintenance engineer is responsible for safe and reliable operation of all assets/equipment (stationary and machinery both) at site as per his assigned area/unit. His role covers development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance plans, job planning and execution, timely incident reporting and submission of detail investigation reports, ensuring minimum downtime on plant equipment, planning for shutdown and forecasting annual budgets. He works in coordination with the Line manager and other functions to ensure smooth functioning of the manufacturing site and to achieve corporate as well as departmental objectives.
Overall Responsibilities:
Individual should be well versed on rotating equipment that includes pumps and mechanical seals, compressors, Fans and blowers, Metering/Dosing pumps and Transmission devices. Individual should have good understanding of Shaft Alignment, Measurements, Fits & Tolerances.
Individual should also have sound knowledge on Stationary Equipment that includes Heat Exchangers, column, tanks, vessels, Furnaces, Filters, piping and fittings etc.
Individual should ensure compliance to Corporate Safety Targets that includes includes developlment of plan for injury-free execution, timely completion and closure of all safety/inspection recommendations, conducting Job Safety Analysis for safe executions, etc.
Individual must have excellent troubleshooting and RCA skills.
Perform budgeting and estimation of routine and annual maintenance activities.
Timely carry out technical reviews of quotation/ proposals for warehouse items or on-request items
Planning & Execution of Turnaround/ Shutdown – Involves scope identification, resource planning, material procurement, timeline & quality management, etc.
Development of long-term reliability plan as per OEM recommendation, failure history and business risk matrix.
Manage People development through training and development
Individual should have experience of CMMS Software preferably SAP to carry out maintenance activities
Individual should be aware of Technical Codes and Standards ASME, ASTM, ISO, API, etc.
Individual should be aware of safety standards such as OSHA
Experience requirements:
Mechanical Engineer with 2-4 years of relevant experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas or Fertilizer
