Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager Sales – thinkPVC will be responsible for leading and executing the retail and project-based sales strategy of thinkPVC, an initiative by Engro Polymer and Chemicals Ltd. The role focuses on promoting and expanding the market footprint of a diverse portfolio of PVC downstream products—including pipes, fittings, ducts, cables, conduits, flooring, wall and ceiling panels, kitchens, vanities, cabinetry, WPC doors, uPVC windows, and roofing sheets.

This position requires a deep understanding of construction industry dynamics, interior fit-outs, and project sales cycles, with the ability to develop strong B2B relationships, collaborate with design professionals, and influence product adoption across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue and customer growth across project and retail segments.

Lead, supervise, and coach the sales team to ensure performance against targets.

Identify, pursue, and convert project-based opportunities by engaging with architects, consultants, developers, contractors, and government institutions.

Cultivate strong relationships with interior fit-out firms, builders, and dealers for retail visibility and demand generation.

Conduct regular market visits to monitor competition, gather market intelligence, and ensure brand presence at relevant outlets and project sites.

Champion the use of PVC-based solutions in specifications, BOQs, and construction material decisions.

Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and channel partners to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth execution.

Monitor sales pipeline, report performance metrics, and contribute to business planning with data-driven insights.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field)

8–12 years of proven experience in retail and project sales within the construction materials or interior fit-out sector

Direct exposure to the interior and architectural segment (experience with firms like S. Abdulla, Interwood, Hanif Rajput, Woodcop, etc. is a plus)

Strong network across builders, architects, contractors, and retail dealers

In-depth knowledge of project sales cycles, BOQ inclusion, construction site engagement, and channel dynamics

Excellent negotiation, communication, and team management skills

Ability to work independently with a results-driven and entrepreneurial mindset

 

Preferred Attributes:

Existing relationships with top-tier construction and interior design firms

Understanding of PVC products and their applications in modern construction

Familiarity with digital sales tools, CRM systems, and reporting dashboards
