Job Title: Deputy Manager Finance and Planning

Job Purpose         

  • Act as an interface between finance and business e.g. manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial.
  • Leverage advanced financial analysis and market research skills to identify optimization opportunities (pricing, cost, volume, channel, etc.) and support business value drivers.
  • Evaluate reasons for variance in plan and actual numbers.
  • Apply strong analytical and research-driven approaches to support business growth, and long-term planning.

Key Accountabilities:

Description

  1. Provide financial analysis and deliver insights that connect financial performance with business operations (manufacturing, logistics, and commercial) to support decision-making.
  1. Develop partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all GMs and their teams in order to help drive the business plan and strategy.
  1. Enable monthly stewarding of budgets and enable strong internal controls.
  1. Assist in creating monthly, annual, and long-term forecasts by integrating market/industry research, activity drivers, and business targets.
  1. Lead process improvement initiatives (e.g., reporting automation, dashboarding, data visualization) to enable timely and efficient decision-making.
  1. To liaison with business team for CP requirements.
  1. Evaluate and challenge budgets, conduct project appraisals, and compute IRR for strategic initiatives.
  1. Apply market/industry research and financial modelling techniques to support business growth initiatives.

Experience & Education (& Technical Qualifications if applicable) 

Professional Experience

  • Overall 6 to 8 years of experience.

 

  • Prior experience in equity research, sell-side/buy-side analysis, or brokerage house research teams is highly desirable.

Education & Technical Qualifications

  • Must have: BBA or equivalent (Bachelor’s in Finance / Banking / Economics) OR Chartered Accountants

 

  • Preferable: MBA (Finance) and/or CFA Charter holder (or CFA Level II/III cleared).
