Job Purpose

The incumbent will conduct Techno-Economic, Conceptual and, FEED studies in consultation with subsidiaries, Finance, HSE and Procurement. The person will review the technical and commercial proposals, engineering & design work of consultants/contractors. Will be responsible for the technical accuracy, completeness, and quality of all process engineering deliverables and activities of a project. Will prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) and Invitation to Bid (ITB) Documents in consultation with Project Engineer for initiating technical studies.

1. Perform Feasibility, conceptual & FEED studies

Complete engineering studies in allocated time and budget & ensure quality

2. Verify compliance of Engineering work to Codes and standards

Aware of international Codes, standards & best engineering practices

3. Demonstrate expertise in Polymers and Petrochemicals

Quality of technology specific advises

Key Accountabilities & Performance Indicators 2/4

1. Lead for establishing Phase Gate Process for Major Projects

Quality of Project development SOPs, templates, and checklists
  1. Support business development activities, such as development of scopes of work, execution methodologies, engineering estimates, and review of technology assessments

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for successful work completion
  1. Ensure inherent safety in design by ensuring the compliance to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards 

Sound knowledge of technical/process safety standards

  1. Technical liaison between technology providers, vendors and subsidiaries engineering contacts

Networking with subsidiaries and vendors to identify solution and develop business case
  1. Mass & Energy Balances, System hydraulics & relief valves sizing calculations

  1. Supervise, mentor and train process engineers

Manages and develops talent pipeline with technical skills

2. Stewardship of assigned projects in subsidiaries

  1. Able to lead HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA studies

Extensive experience OF HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL assessment reviews

Professional Experience

Minimum 08 years in petrochemical, refinery, oil & gas sector. Preference will be given to the candidates with experience in the Middle East as process Engineer for Major projects in EPC or Eng. Consultancy companies.
