Deputy Manager Imports and Clearance

Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Commerce or Business Adminstration with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in imports, LC management, customs clearance and logistics coordination within industrial or manufacturing sectors.

Certification in CIPS / CSCMP / International Trade are preferred. Profeciency in SAP (MM Module) is required.

Responsiblities: 

  • Oversee end-to-end import operations — from PFI validation, LC establishment, and shipment tracking to customs clearance and delivery at site.
  • Coordinate with banks, suppliers, and clearing agents to ensure documentation accuracy and timely processing of imports.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to HS code classification, duty exemptions, and SRO applicability in coordination with relevant authorities.
  • Maintain and update import trackers, dashboards, and documentation to ensure transparency and performance visibility.
  • Lead interactions with customs, port authorities, and government bodies for regulatory compliance and timely clearance.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to reduce clearance time, cost, and non-compliance risks.
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to internal control frameworks and import policy guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and act as focal point for import-related escalations.
