Key Responsibilities
- Monitor plant performance and identify current and potential process-related problems.
- Evaluate and recommend remedial actions through changes in operating conditions, process parameters, or long-term process modifications.
- Develop and evaluate solutions to improve plant productivity, capacity utilization, product quality, and operating costs.
- Prepare process specifications for plant modifications and coordinate with project engineers for safe and timely execution.
- Monitor catalysts, chemicals, and critical equipment performance and provide recommendations for replacement, optimization, and maintenance.
- Analyze laboratory results, investigate abnormalities, coordinate special sampling, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct process safety audits and design reviews to identify potential process risks and hazards.
- Provide technical assistance during plant shutdowns and startups, ensuring safe isolation, equipment handling, and process line-up.
- Develop procedures for chemical cleaning, equipment washing, and other specialized process activities.
- Coordinate with production teams, field operators, shift supervisors, laboratories, warehouses, and relevant technical teams to address operational requirements.
- Liaise with chemical and catalyst vendors regarding technical specifications, future requirements, and new developments.
- Provide technical input on equipment sizing, plant troubleshooting, optimization, and analysis of plant performance data.
- Support procurement of required chemicals, catalysts, lubricants, and other process-related materials where applicable.
What We're Looking For
Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience
Core Expertise: Process Engineering, Plant Optimization, Troubleshooting, Process Safety, Equipment & Catalyst Performance Monitoring
