Banking & LC Officer
Location: Head Office
Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, logistics or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience in imports and customs clearance with proficiency required in SAP (MM Module)
Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end import operations, including PFI validation, LC establishment and amendments, customs clearance, and final delivery at site.

Prepare, review, and process Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, and shipping documentation in strict compliance with contractual, banking, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure accurate HS Code classification and duty assessment, including effective utilization of SROs/CGOs, while proactively resolving customs valuation and compliance issues.

Coordinate closely with banks, suppliers, clearing agents, freight forwarders, procurement, treasury, logistics, and plant teams to ensure timely and cost-efficient execution of imports.

Drive timely retirement of shipping documents with banks to avoid clearance delays, demurrage, detention, and financial exposure.

Manage customs clearance and logistics execution, including transport arrangements, warehouse coordination, and prioritization of critical or urgent materials.

Ensure marine insurance coverage for all imports and manage insurance claims for damaged or short-shipped cargo.

Monitor and control import-related costs, ensure timely GRN posting and Foreign GR/IR closure, and support financial reconciliation with Finance.
